Targeted Grazing Electric Fence Systems

Targeted grazing can be used for many reasons, some users choose this portable option to ensure their cattle use the available forage appropriately, to maximize weight gain and support ecosystem health. Another use of targeted grazing is to reduce fine fuel load, in order to reduce fire hazard.

Cattle are confined to targeted areas, using a portable electric fence system. Once the fuel load is reduced sufficiently, or the forage is exhausted the system can be moved to the next target area.

We offer two options, you can purchase the system and install it yourself, or we can install it onsite for you (we are limited to certain geographic zones). Contact us to receive a consultation on your specific project. Below are photos of some of the projects that we’ve completed in the past.

For more information on targeted grazing, the following document from the British Columbia Cattlemen’s Association outlines a trial, completed in 2020/2021 using our Range Ward electric fence and portable solar water pump system
